Two Weeks of Postpartum Care in NJ: What Goes Into Your Quote?

Information reviewed: 2026-11-06

Two weeks alone does not determine the total cost of postpartum care. Your quote depends on the service, daytime or overnight hours, actual care days, and approved additional costs. WithMom Care accepts consultations for at-home support in Bergen and Hudson counties, New Jersey, and Queens, New York. Review our current cost guide, then share your service address and preferred start date for an individual quote. Request a consultation.

Start with the service and hours you need

Korean Postpartum Care and Certified Postpartum Doula Care are separate services. Choosing Korean or English for your consultation does not determine the service you book.

All care is non-medical. Certified postpartum doulas support the mother and newborn, rather than providing care for other family members. A twelve-hour Korean mixed schedule and a sixteen- or eighteen-hour combined doula schedule are different arrangements.

Check the actual care days within two weeks

Confirm which days include visits, which are rest days, and whether partial hours are needed on the first or last day. A two-week calendar period does not by itself specify the number of working days.

Your actual birth and discharge dates may differ from your due date. The director confirms the first care day with you. Changes require review of caregiver availability and the agreed arrangements. Entering a birth date does not automatically change a contract or guarantee a new schedule.

Compare these five parts of your quote

  1. Service and hours: Start and end times, the number of caregivers, and the agreed care tasks.
  2. Actual dates: Care days, rest days, and any partial first or last shifts.
  3. Included support: Whether requested meals and newborn support are included or need separate agreement.
  4. Additional costs: Approved options or travel expenses, including the basis and cap for travel costs.
  5. Total and payment schedule: The Retaining Fee, later invoices, how amounts are credited toward care, and due dates.

Do not assume an option is automatically included. Even within one area, travel costs may depend on your actual address and the agreed route from WithMom’s designated starting point, rather than the caregiver’s home. Separate costs are explained and approved before the contract.

Where do I check the Retaining Fee?

Do not assume that the Retaining Fee is an extra fee or the cost of the final week. Read your quote, applicable terms, and issued invoices together to understand how it applies toward care, later payments, cancellation, and refunds.

The current payment guidance is seven days (168 hours) from the time the Retaining Fee invoice is first successfully sent. Resending an invoice or reminder does not restart that period. Check the invoice for the exact due date. This guidance does not change an existing contract's amounts or deadlines.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a total just by choosing two weeks?

Not from duration alone. Share the service, hours, actual care days, requests, and address so we can prepare an individual quote.

What should I compare for overnight care?

Check whether the quote is for ten-hour Korean overnight care, eight-hour certified doula night A, or ten-hour night B. Compare the hours, care dates, and scope of support.

Does submitting an inquiry confirm a booking or make a payment?

No. A consultation request starts the review of your needs and schedule. Provider verification, document review, and the individual quote and contract process still apply.

Is cancellation always fully refundable?

There is no single promise for every situation. Review the timing, affected amounts, and refund rules in your applicable terms and quote. Inquiring earlier does not itself create different refund terms.
